Tottenham v Manchester City (Champions League quarter-final, first leg)

Where are you from?
Oslo, Norway

Where do you live now?
Oslo

How long have you been a Tottenham Hotspur supporter?
Since I was about six years old… about that time.

Why did you start supporting Tottenham Hotspur?
Everyone [in Norway] has a Premier League team; you choose one when you’re about that age. So, you usually just look at the top of the table―many of my friends are Man Utd supporters―but I went for the team with the nicest kit!

What was the first game you went to?
Tottenham v Wigan at White Hart Lane. It was a nil nil draw. The season after that Spurs beat them 9-1. Defoe scored five, I think… But I went to the nil nil draw.

Who is your all-time favourite player?
Jermain Defoe. No doubt. I just love him. He has the energy and he has heart, and he has everything I look for in a good player. He had awesome long-distance shots, he had power and when he turned towards goal and he tried to score, you know it would be spectacular… and I loved him.

Who is your favourite player currently?
It’s hard to escape Son, isn’t it? He’s a happy camper and I like that! I also like Dele Alli. I bet I would hate him if I was a fan of any other club; I would’ve hated him. But that’s why I love him.

What was the best (live) game you went to?
That was against [Manchester] City. I think Spurs won 3-1. It might’ve been in season 2011/12.

What was the best goal you’ve ever seen?
I didn’t see it live, but I’m kind of torn between the header from Peter Crouch that got us into the Champions League back in 2009, was it? Against City again. That was a great one. But also the curled shot from Kane versus Arsenal. That was also a beauty! So one of those.

Final score prediction?
As long as we’re through, it doesn’t matter. But as this game progresses, a 5-5 draw would be great.
